Music is my first tongue - it is the language that I, at once, knew coming into this world.

When I was very young, I remember hearing popular and classical music and distinctly feeling drawn – by these sounds – to another time and place; this was a calling to transcend this world. I never forgot that and work always to recreate that state of being. Whenever I play music – solo, or with friends, I am touched by the universality and purity of the medium. I can speak to anyone – and they to me.
Our personalities, beliefs, age, color, religion, gender all melt away – there is instead a sense of mutuality and connectedness. Music, like love, is limitless and enables us to see what normally goes unseen.

I welcome you to my music site and would love to hear from you about the songs, performances, your music, and any ideas you have about making the world slightly better for having made some music while we were here.

Peace,

I am so privileged to have grown up with John in Massapequa on Toronto Avenue. John has been a constant source of inspiration for me all throughout my life. We both graduated from Berner High School together. The two of us competed on the Berner gymnastics team and John inspired me to begin playing the guitar when I was 13.  John is such a special and gifted human being. At the risk of embarrassing him, there is no one like him….PERIOD.  He amazes me with his kindness, his unique loving sense of humor and his ability to express his heart and personality in such a way as to draw the very best out of people.  He is a profoundly gifted musician: a versatile guitarist and mostly, the way he weaves his renditions of familiar and soulful jazz classics will no doubt send your heart soaring. You cannot meet John without coming away from him with a feeling of peace because he exudes it and owns that dimension within his heart and soul and mind.  Thank you, John, for committing your life to Integrity, Peace and Creativity.

    Hi John,
Love your site. It is very special but I would expect nothing less from you. I feel fortunate to have crossed paths. Keep connecting to the universal. I’m not there yet but I’m working at it. Be well my friend.
